4 STEPS TO PREPARE FOR A YOGA CLASS

Chuẩn bị gì khi đi tập

If you are completely new to yoga, you might have some questions about what you should wear and what to expect. Please check out our list below:

1. What to wear? You don’t have to wear specific yoga wear in order to practice it. In fact, the simplest outfit is even perfect – the best combination is any kind of workout pants or shorts that do not stretch, and a tight-fitting t-shirt to avoid sliding down when you bend over. Luckily, yoga is usually done barefoot so you do not need shoes unless you had injuries before.

2. What to bring? As a beginner, the most essential things you can take with yourself is your enthusiasm and positive attitude. Purchasing all the possible equipment would be too early, especially Yen already offers them. Otherwise, bring a bottle of water that you can keep with yourself, and a towel to avoid your sweat stain the mat. Yoga teachers usually let students know the required props, so it is unnecessary to worry about them.

3. Prepare your mind Some of the yoga poses can be difficult to perform for the first time. Yen’s teachers will definitely help you refine and improve the movements, but some basic knowledge about the most famous poses – knowing their name and how they even look – will make things easier for you. Additionally, never forget about the class etiquette – arrive on time, silence your phone, respect your teacher along with other students.

4. Prepare your body Just like before all activities, it is suggested to avoid heavy meals prior to your yoga class. While yoga mostly includes slow motions, a huge amount of food in your stomach can make you feel sick as you start moving. In case you feel very hungry, have a light snack one or two hours before the class.
